Who we are? CHRIST COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE was established in 2008 by the Catholic Christian Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore in Kilachery village, Thiruvallur District in Tamil Nadu, South India, to promote higher education among the rural poor. The Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore has a history of over 500 years, of offering spiritual services, social welfare and education to the poor and needy in Chennai city and the neighbouring districts of Thiruvallur and Kancheepuram. The Archdiocese limited itself all this while, to providing school level education for people in its constituency. But today, in a totally changed socio-economic scenario after globalisation, sensing people’s needs and aspirations, the diocese has ventured into providing University education to the marginalized poor. | Current News ANNUAL DAY
